Résumé: الملخص بالعربية: ما زال 8 ماي 1945م يشكل محطة مؤلمة في الذاكرة الوطنية بالنظر للتضحيات الجسيمة التي قدمها في سبيل مناهضة الاستعمار واقرار معنى حق الشعوب في تقرير مصيرها ، وقد قدمت الدراسات العربية خلفيات هذه الجرائم وبشاعتها وحاولت تقديم مبررات اقتصادية واجتماعية وبمجريات لتثبت ان الوعي الوطني قد عرف نضجا لافتا عبر عنه بيان 10 فيفري 1943م وتأسيس حركة أصدقاء البيان والحرية سنة 1944م وخروج الشعب الجزائري في مظاهرات سلمية للمطالبة بالاستقلال فكان العنف آخر ما توصل اليه العقل الاستعماري لإجهاض المشروع الوطني وهو ما تكشفه جل الدراسات التاريخية العربية. الكلمات المفتاحية: مجازر 8 ماي 1945م، الإحتلال الفرنسي، المصادر العربية، الحرب العالمية الثانية. Abstract: The May 8 1945 continues to be a painful stop in national memory in view of the enormous sacrifices it has made in the fight against colonialism and the recognition of the meaning of peoples' right to self-determination The Arab studies presented the backgrounds and horrors of these crimes and tried to provide economic and social justifications and procedures to demonstrate that the national consciousness had become remarkable maturity expressed in the statement of 10 February 1943, the founding of the Movement of Friends of Manifestation and Freedom in 1944 and the emergence of the Algerian people in peaceful demonstrations to demand independence.
