Résumé: Study Abstract This study aims at proposing guide training program for mothers to develop the skills ofmentally handicapped childrenself-care for children who are teachableand to measure its effect on children social adaptation, The study questions were as follows:  Incorporating self-care skills in mentally disabled children?  Does the proposed training program for mothers to provide self-care skills have an impact on the social adjustment of children with intellectual disabilities? 1- Are there any statistically significant differencesof mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-careon the obsession scale according to child sex? 2- Are there any statistically significant differences of mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-careon the obsession scale according tomothers’ educational level? Study hypotheses are as follows:  Weexpect the degree of self-care skills in mentally disabled children to below.  The proposed training program for mothers to provide self-care skills has an impact on the social adjustment of children with intellectuall disabilities. 1. There are statistically significant differences of mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-care on the obsession scale according to child gender difference. 2. There are statistically significant differences of mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-careon the obsession scale according to mothers’ educational level. In view of the study subject, I have relied on experimental method (experimental design for one sample) because it is the most appropriate method for the program and for achieving the goal of the study. The sample included 10 children, 10 mothers (4 females and 6 males) for developing the skills of mentally handicapped children self-care for children who are teachableand to measure its effect on children social adaptation. Concerning the study tools, the first tools is for measuring self-care skills; the second one is for the guide training program for mothers for developing the skills of mentally handicapped children self-care for children who are teachablerelying on behavior theory and its methods. After checking psychometric characteristics of the study tools, guide training program was applied to the determined sample of teachable mentally handicapped children between (5-6) years old and with making the basic study. Afterwards, statistical analysis of the study was made using Spss program with applying Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test and kruskal -wallis. The study gives the following results:  degree of self-care skills in children with mental disabilities is high.  Guide training program effects on social adaptation in skills of mentally handicapped children self-care.  There are statistically significant differences of mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-care on the obsession scale according to child gender difference.  There are no statistically significant differences of mentally handicapped children average grades in skills of mentally handicapped children self-careon the obsession scale according to mothers’ educational level.
