Etude De La Biodégradation D’ Un Polluant Organique (méthabenzthiazuron) En Milieu Aquatique.
Résumé: The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of biodegradation for the elimination of an organic pollutant (2-mercaptobenzothiazole) present in water, and to determine the factors affecting this process. In our work, using microorganisms to simulate the biodegradation of MBT in the aquatic environment, 3 bacterial strains (E. coli S. aureus and E. feacalis.) and one type of fungus (Aspergillus niger) were used. The results showed the ability of these microorganisms to degrade MPT with varying efficiency, where the fungus was most effective at pollutant removal (96%) over a 24-day period. For bacterial strains, the experiment was followed for 37 days, and E. coli performed best in MBT exclusion compared to other strains. The study also showed that biodegradation is linked to several factors such as the concentration of the pollutant, its type, the type of microorganism and its ability to adapt to the surrounding conditions.
