Résumé: حرصت سينما التحريك وتحديدا أفلام ديزني على ترسيخ الصورة النمطية للمرأة الضعيفة في أفلامها الكلاسيكية، ولكن مع بداية التسعينات غيرت ديزني هذه الصورة وإستبدلتها بشخصية المرأة المتمردة، تعالج هذه الدراسة صورة المرأة المتمردة في سينما التحريك من خلال التركيز على شخصية ميريداMerida في فيلم شجاعة Brave بهدف التعرف على التحول الجذري الذي أحدثته ديزني في بطلاتها من خلال تطبيق مقاربة التحليل السيميولوجي للباحث الفرنسي رولان بارثRoland Barthes القائمة على قراءة الفيلم من الناحية التعينية والتضمينية للوصول في الأخير إلى أن الأميرة ميريدا الشخصية المتمردة في الفيلم ترفض الرضوخ للعادات والتقاليد، ولاتنتظر أميرا لينقذها ويحل مشاكلها.
