أثر سعر الصرف الحقيقي على النمو الاقتصادي في الجزائر: دراسة قياسية للفترة 1970- 2020

Résumé: This study aimed to measure the impact of the real effective exchange rate on economic growth in Algeria during the period (1970-2020), by studying the relationship between the evolution of REER of the domestic currency and the economic growth rates recorded locally during the aforementioned period. To achieve the study objectives, the ARDL model was used, where the nature of the long run relationship between study’ variables was examined, with reliance on controlling variables represented in each of the inflation rates and the degree of economic openness. The study concluded that there is a significant long run relationship between the study variables, and the research also noted that there is an inverse relationship between the REER and the levels of economic growth registered during the study period, and this is in fact consistent with most of the results reached by similar studies.
