نظرية المعرفة عند القدّيس أوغسطين: من الشكية إلى الدوغمائية

Résumé: إنّ المعرفة عند القدّيس "أوغسطين" هي انتقال من الأعلى نحو الأسفل، وذلك بفضل الفيض والنور الإلهي، لكن قبل ذلك هي انتقال الإنسان ورغبته في معرفة الكائن العلوي، فهي انتقال من الأسفل إلى الأعلى بالزهد والتصوف توقاً في السعادة الأبدية. لقد مثّل هذا التصور قاعدة اعتمد ها "أوغسطين" في تحديد طبيعة المعرفة وخاصة عندما تصدى لأراء الشكاك من أنصار الأكاديمية الجديدة. فينبغي إذن في نظر فيلسوفنا ألاّ نفقد الأمل في معرفة الحقيقة، وفي الوصول إلى المعرفة الأكثر بداهة ووضوحًا، التي لا يعتريها أي شك أو تبديل، وفي هذا يرد "أوغسطين" على الأكاديميين، بأننا نستطيع أن نعلم وندرك الحقيقي، مع تجاهلنا للإحتمال وشبه الحقيقي. The knowledge of Saint Augustine is a transmission from the top down, thanks to the overflow and to the divine light, but before that is the transmission of the human being and his desire to know the higher being, it is a transmission of the bottom up with asceticism and Sufism, an aspiration for eternal happiness. This perception represented a basis adopted by "Augustine" to define the nature of knowledge, in particular when it approached the points of view of the skepticism of the partisans of the new academy. We must therefore not lose hope of knowing the truth, arriving at the most obvious and clearest knowledge, which has no doubt or alteration, and in this "Augustine" responds to academics, whom we can know and realize the real.
