جدلية العلاقة بين الدين والدولة في الفكر العثماني بين متطلبات الإصلاح ومساعي التحديث

Résumé: شكلت العلاقة بين الدين والدولة قضية مهمة في الفكر العثماني؛ إذ لعب الدين دورا أساسياً في نشأة الدولة العثمانية وتطورها السياي والحضاري، وهو ما جعل المفكرين العثمانيين يؤكدون على وحدة الدولة والدين، لكن عندما دخلت الدولة العثمانية في مرحلة الضعف أصبح الارتباط بالدين في نظر البعض أحد أسباب ركودها وتخلفها؛ إذ كانوا في موضع مقارنة بينهم وأوروبا التي استطاعت النهوض والارتقاء عندما قطعت صلتها بالدين واتبعت المنهج العلماني. The relationship between religion and the state has created an important matter in the Ottoman thought. Religion, as a matter of fact, played a fundamental role in the rise of the Ottoman state and its political and civic development. This latter made the Ottoman thinkers, insist on the unity of state and religion. However, at the time of weakness of the Ottoman state, religion, for some, has become one of the reasons of its stagnation and backwardness. They were comparing themselves with Europe for being able to rise and flourish when it cut ties with religion and adopted Secularism.
