Résumé: تتناول هذه الدراسة بين دفتيها جوانب هامة من حياة أحد أعلام التصوف بالغرب الجزائري خلال القرن التاسع الهجري الشيخ سيدي أبي عبد الله محمـد المغوفل الشلفي دفين بطحاء شلف، الزاهد العابد صاحب الكرامات، والذي لا يزال يعاني التهميش في الكتابات التاريخية مقارنة بعلماء عصره رغم الرصيد العلمي الذي تركه المتمثل في أرجوزته، الوثيقة الهامة بعد كتاب صلحاء واد شلف لموسى المغيلي، أرًّخ من خلالها لعلماء عاشوا خلال ثلاث قرون (من 6هـ إلى 9هـ) لم يتناولهم في أيُّ كتاب قبله أو بعده. عملنا من خلال هذا المقال على وضع ترجمة للشيخ أبي عبد الله المغوفل، بجمع شتات ما قيل عنه وما نقلته المصادر والروايات التاريخية، نتعرف في البداية على نسبه ومولده وتكوينه العلمي، ثم نتعرف على موقفه من الحملات العثمانية على تلمسان والصراع مع الزيانيين وعلى رصيده العلمي الذي لا تزال تثرى به المكتبات الوطنية؛ This study covers important aspects of the life of one of the Sufism pillars in the Algerian West during the ninth century AH, Sheikh Sidi Abi Abdallah Mohamed El-Maghoufal Chalfi buried in Tahaa Chlef , the ascetic the worshiper the generous, who continues to be marginalized in historical writings compared to scholars of his time despite the scientific asset left by his Argostah, an important document after the book Salha Wade Chlef by Musa al-Mughaili, through which he chronicled scholars who lived for three centuries (6 AH to 9 AH) Whom he didn't address in any book before or after. Through this article, we have worked on a translation of Sheikh Abi Abdullah Al-Maghoufal by collecting the diaspora of what has been said about him and what has been reported by historical sources and accounts, we first learn about his lineage, birth and scientific composition, then apprehend where he stood during the Ottoman campaigns on Tlemcen and the conflict with the Zayanin.
