Famille Et Représentations Dans Les Enfants De Dan Franck Essai D’interprétation

Résumé: The present analysis provides a plural reading of a literary corpus: “The Children” by French writer Dan Franck. It aims to study how in a poetic text a Western family is treated and how it is represented. To sum up our work perspective, we may say that it revolves around three major axes or parts: The first part: The Family Made into Text, reviews the key elements that are essential to our analysis namely: the title, the story, the characters and their relationships. In the second part entitled: The family as a Writing Topic, we suggest a reading of the two main themes that emerge from the text: ‘Parents’ and ‘Children’ and then confront them in order to highlight the existing tensions. In the third part entitled: Representations, and in the light of the previous two, we discuss the vision of the author on the topic of the family and its representation as well as his writing project. At the end of our work on “The Children” by Dan Franck, we get at the following conclusion: The opposition between the traditional family and the modern family. The current world values very strongly change in methods, techniques and ways of thinking, life relationships. Now, the couple is a place of permanence, and a blended family represents uncertainty as it onlytakes one of its members toshatterits harmony, and in our case it is the child that does dissolve the commitment. This is an uncertain family.
