موقف اليسار الفرنسي من أحكام الإعدام الفرنسية في الجزائر خلال الثورة التحريرية (1954- 1962)

Résumé: A few months after its outbreak, the Algerian liberation revolution was able to win the support of many peoples of the world who love freedom and peace, and it was able with the longevity of the war to shake up the colonial system as a whole, and it caused a great rift within French public opinion, perhaps the most prominent of which was the clear coup of many of the French left activists and many of them, got close and even got involved with the beginning of 1957 with the revolution such as Fernand Iveton, Georges Acampora, Maurice Audin, Henri Maillot, and many others. Despite the weakness of the left, it was able to create a wide debate about death sentences and torture, although it was able to influence Paris' position on death sentences and stop their execution, because of its distance (the left) from the centers of power in Paris and in colonial Algeria, with is what this research paper, tried to analyze and discuss in order to find out the causes of weakness the voice of the left despite the status of many of its scientific and intellectual activists.
