Bridging The Gap Between Theory And Practice In Life Of Muslims Today

Résumé: Today, the world is experiencing a state of perplexity about the situation of Muslims fromall aspects. The social, educational, and economic policies of the Islamic world show a great dealof contradiction between the theoretical religious teachings and the ground realities; which oftendepict our worldly and materialistic approach to these teachings. Muslim communities are indesperate need of rectifying their lived reality, to eliminate this estrangement between the theoryand the reality. This study recommends some measures towards bridging the gap betweentheory and practical application of the Islamic teachings in the lives of Muslims today. As life ofProphet Mohammad is exemplary, this study deduced recommendations from his life. It is required to activate the Role of Educational Institutions, Revise the School Curriculum,Launching of Prophetic Encyclopedia in Foreign Languages and creation of awareness throughMedia Institutions to narrow the gap
