Résumé: Abstract: The current study, which is a kind of “Narrative Recollection”, in the novelentitled: “The Grooves of Fences” written by “Zohra Ramidj” aims to investigate the dimensions of narrative recollection which occurred frequently by the movement to the past time by recollecting its detailed events which are still stuck in memory. The writer restored these events and she embodied them for the readers in the husband’s experience that she witnessed, then she generalised them on everybody who lived in detention at that time of history of Arab Maghreb.
