Optimization And Simulation Of H-darrieus Vertical Wind Turbine Using Ansys18.2
Résumé: In this memory, 2D dimensional unsteady flow around an H-Darrieus vertical axis winds turbine (VAWT) comprising three rotating symmetric airfoils (NACA0018) was studied numerically with the consideration of the near wake. The flow around the wind turbine was simulated using ANSYS 18.2. A workflow of the design was used to optimize the performance of the rotor then, a CFD was used to generate grid for the designed rotor a sliding mesh technique was generated to create a moving mesh. Realizable k- turbulence model was employed for the analysis and simulation was set at the region wind speed of 3.8 m/s. Due to lack of tunnel test the simulation results was used as reference in order to validate the design.
