تداعيات أزمة إنخفاض أسعار النفط لسنة 2014 على السياسة الإجتماعية في الجزائر

Résumé: Abstract The twentieth century was known as the era of oil or petrol, where the latter occupied a high global position not only as a factor of energy but also as an economic and a important political resource on which the oil and non-oil countries depend. Algeria is considered an oil country with more than 95% of its foreign revenues. Oil revenues occupy the biggest part of total national income, which confirms that Algeria is a state of rent; its economic well-being depends on the level of oil revenues subject to fluctuations in the prices of this natural resource. Based on this, through this study, we have examined the impact of oil prices and the attendant effects on government social policies in Algeria particularly. The financial abundance resulting from the rise in oil revenues and the rise in oil prices are considered as the main engine of development in Algeria. The development which the government worked hard to fulfill by the adoption of several economic programs that included various social policies aimed to improve the living conditions of citizens and ensuring a decent life for them. We have also tried through this study to highlight the impact of the negative trend of oil prices towards the decline on social policies in Algeria and its position in light of the continuation of this decline after the crisis of 2014, which prompted the Algerian government to adopt austerity policy and roofing of the financial allocations of various sectors to adapt to the current situation. We conclude finally by predicting the future of this social policy in Algeria, or the future of Algeria as a rent state on the one hand and a state of social welfare on the other.
