Résumé: تعد قضايا البيئة من أهم القضايا التي تشغل المجتمعات اليوم على اختلافها، إذ تتميز بتفاقم كبير بالرغم من المحاولات المستمرة دوليا وإقليميا ومحليا لإيجاد الحلول للحد من المشكلات البيئية، ولعل تحقيق ما يعرف بالتربية البيئية للمواطن هو أهم هذه الحلول لأنها تبين له طرق التعامل الحسن مع البيئة وكيفية المحافظة عليها. ولما كانت وسائل التربية البيئية مختلفة ومتعددة فإن الإعلام يؤدي دور كبير في هذا المجال، وهذا من خلال ما يعرف بالإعلام البيئي الذي يعمل على إحاطة الجمهور بالرسالة الإعلامية البيئية بمختلف الوسائط سواء التقليدية والجديدة. لهذا جاءت هذه الورقة البحثية لتسلط الضوء على دور شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي كإحدى تطبيقات الإعلام الجديد في التربية البيئية للمواطن، من خلال دراسة على عينة من متابعي صفحة من صفحات الجمعيات النشطة في البيئة على الصعيد المحلي.
