Résumé: تعالج الورقة موقف المؤرخ الجزائري جمال قنان من الوجود العثماني في الجزائر، من خلال الوقوف على أبرز مواقفه ، ودوره في تفكيك رواية المؤرخين الغربيين بشكل عام والفرنسيين بشكل خاص ، والذي اتسمت بالتحيز والأدلجة وغياب الموضوعية ، وطغى عليها الحقد والكراهية والرغبة في تصفية حسابات تاريخية بين الالم المسيحي والحضارة العربية الاسلامية ، ولتبرير الاحتلال الفرنسي للجزائر باعتباره عملية تحرير وانقاذ للجزائريين من سيطرة الأتراك. The paper deals with the position of the Algerian historian Djamel Guennane on the Ottoman presence in Algeria, by examining his most prominent positions, and his role in dismantling the narrative of Western historians in general and the French in particular, which was characterized by bias, ideology, and the absence of objectivity, and was dominated by hatred, hatred, and the desire to settle historical accounts between pain. Christian and Arab Islamic civilization, and to justify the French occupation of Algeria as a process of liberation and rescue of the Algerians from the control of the Turks.
