Résumé: الملخص : شهدت عمالة قسنطينة حملة شرسة من طرف الاستعمار الفرنسي استهدف من خلالها طمس الهوية العربية السالامية للشعب الجزائري،و تحطيم قيم الامة قصد انجاح السياسة الاستعمارية مما ساعد على ظهور الفكرة الاصلاحية في أوساط الأهالي الجزائرية التي بدأت باصلاح الحياة الثقافية و الاجتماعية و من بين هذه الوسائل اليت استعملتها هذه الحركة الاصلاحية الصحف و المجلات، و كانت جريدة الشهاب من أوائل هذه الصحف. Abstract : Constantine's employment witnessed a vicious campaign by French colonialism aimed at obliterating the Islamic Arab identity of the Algerian people and shattering the values of the nation with a view to the success of colonial politics, which helped the emergence of the reformist idea among Algerian parents that began to reform cultural and social life. Among the means used by this reform movement were newspapers and magazines. The Shihab newspaper was one of these newspapers.
