Résumé: الملخص باللغة العربية: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى توضيح مختلف التطورات التي عرفتها مدينة قسنطينة في العصور القديمة،وذلك منذ العصور الحجرية و حتى نهاية الاحتلال الروماني ،مرورا بالفترة النوميدية التي أضفت عليها شيئا من سماتها المحلية، ، استنادا إلى ما تضمنته المصادر الأدبية،والنصوص القانونية، وكتابات رجال الدين، ومحاضر المجامع الدينية و كذا كتابات الرحالة وتقارير القادة العسكريين الفرنسيين، ووفق ما تم العثور عليه من خلال التنقيبات الأثرية المقامة في المنطقة، وبناء على ما تم إنجازه من دراسات وأبحاث عامة وخاصة على مدار ما يقارب القرنين من الزمن من وقتنا الحاضر. Abstract : This study aims to highlight the different evolutions that the city of Constantine underwent in Antiquity, From the prehistoric period to the end of the Roman occupation, passing through the Numidian period, which added some of its characteristics local according to what it included The Literary Sources, The Legal Texts, The Writings of Clerics, The Proceedings of Religious Councils, as well as The Writings of Travelers and the Reports of French Military Leaders, and of what was found through to archaeological excavations, and on the basis of what has been accomplished in public and private studies and research during nearly two centuries of our time.
