Résumé: Résumé : . The current study aims to know the impact level of social media addiction on the mental health of university, and it varies according some variables, the study focused on the following questions.: 1-Is there a stat stilly significant correlation between addiction to social media and mental health among university students ? 2-Are there statistically significant differences in the level of mental health depnding on the level of addiction to social media? 3-Are there statistically significant in the mental health of university students due to the gender variables? 4-Are there statistically significant in the mental health of university students due to variables social status? 5-Are there statistically significant differences in addiction to social media among university students due to the gender variables? 6-Are there statistically significant differences in addiction to social media among university students due to variables social status? The current study has deliberated deliberately adopted the causal comparative descriptive approach based on comparison, and its aim to reveal a cause and causes of the existence of a certain phenomenon or knowing the effect of on variable on another variable, the sample was chosen randomly and applied to a sample of 30 male and female students form Wadi AL-Wadi university , a tool that measures mental health, the tool applied after studying some of its psychometric properties to ensure its suitability for use on the main study sample, the results showed that the degree of addiction to social networking sites rose to 34% a low score among Wadi university students, the level of mental health is high 67% the results also showed that there are statistically significant differences in the level of addiction to social media, the mental health of university students is attributed to the variables of sex and marital status, the results of this study have been interpreted in light of some previous studies, and the existing study concluded with some suggestions directed to those interested in the topic.
