اللغة العربية والفجوة الرقمية واقع وحلول

Résumé: مما لا شك فيه أن اللغة العربية في أزمة وأن هذه الأزمة تتفاقم مع توسع الفجوة الرقمية. فمن المعروف أن القراء العرب قلة بالنسبة لعدد الناطقين باللغة العربية بغض النظر عن الثورة الرقمية وما جلبته من سهولة في الحصول على المعلومة وقد جاءت الفجوة لتزيد الأمور سوء ، إذ أن المعرفة العالمية ّ الرقمية تتضخم بسرعة مذهلة ولا تستطيع اللغة العربية مجاراتها حيث يمثل المحتوي العربىفى مواقع الأنترنت أقل من نسبة 1 %من المحتوي العالمي فمازال المحتوى العربى أقل من الوزن الذى تمثله اللغة 0.01% من حجمها عالمياً . ومع ذلك تتضافر جهود الأفراد ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني والحكومات العربية لمواجهة اتساع هذه الفجوة وردمها نهائيا باتباع خطوات محددة . فما مدى نجاعة هذه الجهود في رأب الهوة الرقمية في البلاد العربية والانتقال إلى مرحلة الاستثمار في المعرفة ؟ There is no doubt that the Arabic language is in crisis and that this crisis is exacerbated by the expansion of the digital divide. It is known that Arab readers are few compared to the number of Arabic speakers, regardless of the digital revolution and the ease of obtaining information it brought. The gap has come to make matters worse, as global digital knowledge is expanding at an amazing speed and the Arabic language cannot keep pace with it, as the Arabic content on the Internet represents less than 1% of the global content, and the Arabic content is still less than the weight represented by the language 0.01% of its global volume. Nevertheless, the efforts of individuals, civil society institutions and Arab governments are joining forces to confront the widening of this gap and to bridge it once and for all by following specific steps. How effective are these efforts in bridging the digital divide in the Arab countries and moving to the stage of investing in knowledge?
