Enhancing Unlicensed In English Teachers' Language Proficiency: Empowering Content Delivery In English
Résumé: The Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has called for the internalization of the programmes at the tertiary level; thus, adopting English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI). This paper reports the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Constantine (ENSC) unlicensed in English teachers’ (ULET) perceptions about their experience with enrolling in a General English learning programme to empower their linguistic skills to incorporate content with the English language. Teachers’ testimonies acknowledged the improvement of their English proficiency and revealed positive attitudes about the impact of EMI on all agents of the tertiary sector, universities, teachers, and students.
