Efficacité Comparée De Trois Méthodes De Lutte Biologique Contre La Cochenille Blanche Parlatoria Blanchardi Targioni Targ Du Palmier Dattier Dans La Région D'ouargla

Résumé: The Parlatoria blanchardi is one of the main pests of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera). The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of three biological control methods against white scales on date palm: control through the application of two types of soluble sugars (fructose and sucrose); through the application of an aqueous extract based on Ziziphus jujuba (jujube); and through the application of compost made from date palm waste. Applying sub-doses of sugars resulted in a reduction in the infestation rate of white scales and increased mortality. The fructose solution induced a highly significant reduction in white scale infestation rates compared to controls (24.97). Similarly, the sucrose solution had a significant effect on white scale mortality rates (18.89%). Spraying the aqueous extract of jujube demonstrated the insecticidal effect of this extract, significantly improving mortality rates (16.55%) and significantly reducing white scale infestation rates (41.10). Treatment with the aqueous extract of compost produced from date palm waste also showed a highly significant effect compared to controls on the mortality and infestation of Parlatoria blanchardi, indicating the insecticidal properties of the compost extract. The study of the effectiveness of the various treatments applied showed that the aqueous extract of jujube was the most effective.
