Résumé: ملخص: يعتبر التحكيم البحري نظام قانوني لحل المنازعات البحرية وهو نظام معروف مند القدم ساعدت على ازدهاره وانتشاره العديد من الاعتبارات منها تجنب طول وبطء التقاضي أمام المحاكم خاصة وأن عامل السرعة يعتبر من العوامل الهامة في تنفيذ المعاملات التجارية إضافة إلى سرية جلسات التحكيم وكذا إلى الخبرة التي يتميز بها المحكمون على أساس أن أطراف التحكيم يراعون في اختيارهم المحكمين مدى تخصصهم في موضوع النزاع وعلمهم بمقتضيات التجارة البحرية والنقل البحري وهذا ما جعل اللجوء إلى التحكيم أمرا منتشرا في مجال العلاقات التجارية الدولية بصفة عامة وفي مجال العلاقات البحرية بصفة خاصة Abstract: Maritime arbitration is a legal system for resolving maritime disputes, and it is a well-known system since ancient times; Many considerations helped in its prosperity and spread, including avoiding the long and slow litigation before the courts ; in particular. In selecting the arbitrators, they take into account the extent of their specialization in the subject matter of the dispute and their knowledge of the requirements of maritime trade and maritime transport and this is what made resorting to arbitration a widespread issue in the field of international trade relations in general and in the field of maritime relations in particular.
