Résumé: ملخص: عرف المغرب الأوسط مع مطلع القرن 16م صراعات عسكرية ودينية تزعمتها القوتين العثمانية والإسبانية، هذه الأخيرة ومنذ احتلالها للسواحل الجزائرية سارعت لربط علاقات مع المملكة الزيانية وملكها أبا حمو الثالث، ولكن سكان تلمسان لم يرضو بحكمه فنراهم يستنجدون بعروج الذي لبى النداء ولكي يكون بمقربة من المملكة ولكي تسهل عليه مهمته نراه يتخذ من قلعة بني راشد التي كانت تشكل للإسبان مورد اقتصادي هام، حيث وضع فيها حامية عسكرية، وبالتالي لعبت دورا هاما في الصراع العثماني الإسباني، لأنها عرفت حصارا عنيفا من طرف الإسبان تأديبا لها، ولكن لن يفرط فيها خير الدين حيث سعى على أن تصبح حامية عثمانية. Abstract: The central Maghreb experienced at the beginning of the 16th century of our era military and religious conflicts led by the Ottoman and Spanish powers. His task is made easier for him, we see him taking the castle of Bani Rashid, which was an important economic resource for the Spaniards, since he placed a military garrison there, and thus played an important role in the Ottoman-Spanish conflict, because he saw a violent siege by the Spanish as punishment, but Khair ad-Din would not overlook it as it sought to become an Ottoman garrison.
