Résumé: This study aims to identify the reality of e-government in Algeria, by addressing the e-Algeria project in 2013 in detail. The eGovernment concept, its importance, and its various objectives were discussed in the first axis And the experience of Algeria in the field of e-government in the second axis, through the definition of the project Algeria e-2013. Where Algeria's e-strategy, objectives, and various themes were discussed in addition to the work program for implementing this project. As for the assessment of Algeria's readiness to implement the e-government project, we discussed its ranking through ICT indicators during the period (2010-2016) represented by fixed and mobile telephone subscriptions and the Internet, in this regard, Algeria has witnessed a significant reduction in the indicators of ICT development (IDI). With the implementation of the United Nations e-Government Development Index (EGDI) in Algeria, which is divided into three main indicators: the Online Service Index (OSI), the Human Capital Index (HCI), the Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII), It turns out that Algeria occupies the tail of the ranking - the last ranking for the world. This is due to several reasons that have hindered the success of the eGovernment project in Algeria. Finally, the conclusion of this research is that Algeria has not reached the required level in the field of informatics and e-transactions. The e-government project in Algeria remains very late compared to other countries, although more than five years have passed since the announcement of the e-Algeria project 2013 and the state's efforts.
