المقاومة الثقافية في غرب إفريقيا الشيخ الحاج مالك سي(1853-1922م) أنموذجاً

Résumé: نحاول من خلال هذا المقال تتبع سيرة إحدى أهم الشخصيات المؤثرة في غرب إفريقيا والتي لم تلق العناية الكافية من خلال الدراسات الاكاديمية، فبعد فشل المقاومات المسلحة في مواجهة الاستعمار لجأت شعوب غرب إفريقيا إلى المقاومة الثقافية التي قادها العلماء والمفكرون بهدف افشال السياسة الاستعمارية الهادفة إلى محو التراث الديني والثقافي لهذه الشعوب. ولعل من أبرز الشخصيات التي أثارت الكثير من التساؤلات حول مواقفها من الاستعمار هي شخصية الشيخ الحاج مالك سي، الذي يُعتبر في نظر بعض المفكرين من أكبر الموالين للإدارة الاستعمارية، بينما يراه البعض الاخر رمزا للمقاومة ومجددا للدين الإسلامي في منطقة السنغال وما جاورها. In this article, we attempt to trace the biography of one of the most influential figures in West Africa, who has not received sufficient attention in academic studies. After the failure of armed resistance against colonization, the peoples of West Africa resorted to cultural resistance led by scholars and intellectuals, aiming to thwart the colonial policy that sought to erase the religious and cultural heritage of these peoples. One of the most prominent figures that raised many questions about his stance towards colonization is Shaykh El Hajj Malik Sy, who is considered by some thinkers as one of the staunchest supporters of colonial administration, while others see him as a symbol of resistance and of the renewal of Islamic religion in Senegal region and its surroundings
