Valorisation Des Boues D’épuration Dans Le Traitement Des Eaux Huileuses Au Niveau De La Région De Haoud Berkaoui

Résumé: Wastewater treatment generates several by-products including sewage sludge. The quantities of sludge produced increase continuously with the number of treatment stations. An adapted and efficient treatment of this sludge allows it to be recovered in several sectors. The objective of this study is the recovery of an urban sludge produced at the wastewater treatment plant of the HAOUD BERKAOUI region in the treatment of oily water. The thickened and dehydrated sludge recovered from a drying bed was used as a natural adsorbent and as a raw material for the production of three activated carbons with three different chemical agents including: NaCl, H3PO4 and NaOH. The adsorption tests revealed the effectiveness of the adsorbents developed, in particular the carbon activated with NaOH. The comparison of the results obtained with those obtained by adsorption on commercial activated carbon confirmed that the previously selected carbon constitutes an alternative both economic and environmental in the field of oily water treatment in the Haoud Berkaoui region.
