Résumé: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a proposed counseling program in developing verbal and non-verbal communication skills. The study sought to verify the following hypotheses: -There are differences in the effectiveness of the counseling program in equipping mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with communication skills (both verbal and nonverbal) based on pre-test and post-test measurements. -There are differences in the effectiveness of the counseling program in equipping mothers of children with ASD with communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) based on the mothers' age. -There are differences in the effectiveness of the counseling program in equipping mothers of children with ASD with communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) based on the mothers' occupations. -The study employed a quasi-experimental design using a counseling program as an intervention and pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure verbal and non-verbal communication skills. The study concluded the following: -The counseling program aimed at developing verbal and non-verbal communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorder showed a positive and statistically significant impact on improving these skills in children after program implementation. -The results indicated no statistically significant differences between younger and older mothers regarding their ability to teach communication skills to their children. -There were no significant differences in the communication levels of children with autism spectrum disorder based on the mothers' occupations, indicating that the main factor affecting the improvement of communication skills is the implementation of the counseling program and the awareness of the mothers about their autistic children.
