Résumé: علم التفسير من أجلّ العلوم الدينية، إنْ لم يكن أشرفها جميعا، وذلك لسمو موضوعه وعظم فائدته، لذا يُعد من أول ما يُدون من علوم القرآن، لأنّه هو الأصل في فهمه وتدبره، وعليه يتوقف استنباط الأحكام الشرعية ويتبين الحلال من الحرام والأصل من الفرع، ولقد قيّض الله من عباده علماء اعتكفوا على قراءة كتابه العزيز وحفظه ومدارسته، وممنّ انبرى لتفسير كتاب الله المسطور، وتسيير فهمه دون إخلال أو قصور، شيخنا الفاضل الشيخ التواتي بن التواتي الأغواطي الجزائري، الذي كانت له جهود معتبرة في خدمة كتاب الله والدعوة إليه، ومنها اشتغاله بالتفسير دعوة وتدريسا. Above all sciences involved with in study of the Qur’an, exegesis is the most honourable. Due to its subject and its usefulness, it is one of the first sciences of the Qur'an. Important to its understanding and distinguishing the halal from the haram. Thus, God has led scholars to reading His Book and memorising it. One of the scholars who committed his life to commenting Qur’an was the Algerian Sheikh Al-Twati bin Al-Twati al-Aghouati, who had significant efforts in the service of the Book of Allah and in preaching it.
