The Geographical Role Of Urban Centers In The Regional Balance Of The Upper Plains : (case Of Tiaret City- Algeria).

Résumé: The phenomenon of urban expansion in the Space of the upper plateau in Algeria has become a compact network of urban agglomerations, whether in small or medium cities, which lack an elaborate urban plan to integrate them into the main urban centers. This is due to the failure to regulate its expansion and to structure its milieus as a result of the rapid demographic dynamics and the slow developmental dynamics that are offset by the problem of rapid urbanization. This led to the emergence of scattered urban clusters near the main settlements. Consequently, this problem not only calls for studying the urban network in the municipality of Tiaret, but also requires research in urban planning, which has a major role in addressing these random urban expansions and controlling their dynamics across the field to bring about regional balance in the wilaya of Tiaret in the area of the western Space in Algeria.
