Résumé: تهدف هذه الدراسة للكشف عن الأبعاد التاريخية والثقافية والدينية للمدرسة الفقهية لمدينة مازونة، التي كانت بايلك الغرب الجزائري في العهد العثماني، وكانت مهدا لميلاد مدرسة فقهية مالكية شهيرة، جعلت بعضا من الذين كتبوا السير والتراجم يعتبرونها بلد الفقه في الجزائر، بل هناك من راح يزيدها شهرة وفخرا فقال أنّها الأشهر في المغرب العربي الإسلامي أجمعه. وقد اشتهرت مازونة بعراقتها وقدمها عبر العصور التاريخية، وبمؤسساتها الدينية المختصة في العلوم والمعارف، والدراسات الفقهية المختلفة، كالفقه وأصول الفرائض، وعلم التوحيد وعلم الحديث، وعلوم اللغة العربية، من نحو، وصرف، وعلم العروض، وعلوم البلاغة وغيرها من العلوم؛ وهو ما جعل تأثيرها يمتد إلى الحواضر المجاورة، ويشد الركبان والأنظار إليها، لِتُسهم في إنتاج العديد من الشخصيات الدينية والثقافية الفاعلة والمساهمة في صنع تاريخ الجزائر الديني والثقافي القديم.
