أثر سياسة التيسير الكمي على التضخم في المدى الطويل في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية: دراسة قياسية معتمدة على مقاربة Sims

Résumé: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء أثر سياسة التيسير الكمي على معدل التضخم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية من خلال دراسة العلاقة السببية للأجل الطويل بين التيسير الكمي ومعدل التضخم، وهذا بأخذ البيانات للفترة الممتدة من الربع الثالث من 2008 إلى الربع الأخير من 2018. ومن أجل تحليل هذه البيانات اعتمدنا على أدوات إحصائية مختلفة. في البداية قمنا بإجراء اختبار جذر الوحدة ووجدنا أن السلسلتين مستقرتين عند المستوى، وعليه قمنا بدراسة السببية في إطار نموذج VAR، وفق المنهجية المقترحة من قبل سيمس Sims والتي تعتمد على السلاسل الأصلية لاختبار وجود علاقة سببية طويلة الأجل بين متغيرات الدراسة. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة الى وجود علاقة ايجابية ثنائية الاتجاه بين التيسير الكمي والتضخم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في الأجل الطويل. وبناءً عليه، توصي الدراسة بعدم المبالغة في تطبيق سياسة التيسير الكمي. This study aims to investigate the impact of quantitative easing policy on the inflation rate in the USA by studying the long-run causal relationship between quantitative easing and inflation rate, by taking the data for the period from the third quarter of 2008 to the last quarter of 2018. In order to analyze these data, we applied different statistical tools. First, we performed the unit root test and found that both series are stationary at the level form. Hence, we used the causality test of Sims approach, which depends on the original series to test the existence of a long-run causal relationship between the study variables. The results indicate that there is a bidirectional relationship between the quantitative easing and the inflation in the USA. Then, the study recommends that the QE policy should not be overstated.
