Profil Epidemiologique, Clinique Et Therapeutique Des Angiocholites Aigues Lithiasiques A L’etablissement Hospitalier Ouargla De Janvier 2018 Au Juin 2022

Résumé: Acute cholangitis is a serious complication of cholelithiasis. The objective ofour work is to establish the epidemiological profile of acute lithiasic cholangitis in the general surgery department of the Mohammed Boudiaf Ouargla hospital (EPH Ouargla). Materials and method: This is a retrospective descriptive study of 36 patients treated for acute lithiasic cholangitis, collected at the general surgery department of Mohammed Boudiaf Ouargla hospital (EPH Ouargla) over the period from January 1 2018 to June 30, 2022. Result: During our study, acute gallstone cholangitis accounted for 3.5% of gallstone disease. The female gender was predominant by 80.6%. The average age was 55.67 years. Clinically, 61.8% of our patients had presented Charcot's triad, almost the majority of our patients 93.3% had presented a painful syndrome of the right hypochondrium. Biologically, cholestasis was present in 100% of patients, cytolysis was noted in 82.6%. Ultrasound examination was performed systematically in 28 patients (87.5%). Abdominal CT was performed in 5 patients (15.6%). Cholangio-MRI was performed in 11 patients (34.4%). On the therapeutic level, medical treatment was started in all our patients, which was based mainly on antibiotic therapy, an analgesic, correction of hydroelectrolyte disorders, vitamin K therapy. Open surgery was performed in 3 patients (i.e. 8.4%). Sequential treatment was performed in 33 patients (91.7%). Conclusion: Our work has made it possible to describe the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic characteristics of acute lithiasic cholangitis in Ouargla, it is a potentially serious pathology, infrequent, of women, with an average of age from 50 to 60 years old.
