Résumé: This study aimed to determine the role of applying the "Knowledge Management" in contributing to enhance the "Cognitive Performance" in higher education institutions in general, and the University of Ouargla in particular, and to study the relation between the variables of the study. The study was based on the descriptive and analytical approach of the theoretical aspects of the subject. An electronic questionnaire was also prepared to collect data in the applied study, and distributed to a small random sample of (32) professors in the Faculty of Economics, Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences. The "Statistical Package for Social Sciences" (SPSS-25) was also used to analyze the data. By relying on "Arithmetic Averages", "Standard Deviations", "Correlation Coefficients" and "Gradual Linear Regression Analysis", where the study ended with a set of results, the most important of which are: There is a statistically significant relationship between "Knowledge Management" and "Cognitive Performance", as the more "Knowledge Management" is applied in higher education institutions, the higher the "Cognitive Performance", and the value of the "Correlation Coefficient" (R = 0.758) indicates this direct relation, and the model "Explanatory Power" reached (575 = R2). The study also found that, despite the application of "Knowledge Management" in the organization under study, there is a defect in "diagnosing knowledge" in an integrated way, which may negatively affect its "Cognitive Performance".
