Teaching American Civilization Through Docudramas
Résumé: The dialectical connection between language and civilization has always been a concern of Foreign Language teachers. The teaching of civilization in the learning process is currently viewed by ail teachers as important. But what to teach and how? The question is still open to debate. lndeed, the teaching of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and Civilization evolve according to different method and approaches ([rom the traditional method to the communicative approach). However, many teachers find difjiculties in motivating learners to study civilization as a necessary part of the learning process. The aim of the present paper is to examine the reasons jàr the students ' lack of interest in the civilization course and to propose a new method for teaching civilization to LMD students through the use of docudramas.
