Exploring And Modeling The Latent Factors Of Open Innovation In A Sample Of Algerian Companies

Résumé: In a complex and changing world, where everyone looks to new technology, external cooperation between companies has become increasingly embraced; This imposed on them the need to open different avenues to the market; and the use of external as well as internal ideas. But the evolution of distributed innovation processes that are based on intentional flows of knowledge across the boundaries and environment of an organization, which are becoming more permeable so that innovations can move more easily both internally and externally between organizations, clients, and societies. To this end, there is a need to examine the innovation factors latent in the practices of a sample of 34 Algerian companies, in which the innovation activity is still constrained by closed traditional models, and rigid bureaucratic structures that increase the distance between the production line and the top of the organizational hierarchy. This has slowed down the communication process and prevented the flow of information necessary for cross-inoculation of ideas to trigger innovation in different combinations. One of the most important recommendations of the research is to seek to develop innovation as an essential activity in Algerian companies, and to emphasize the organic nature of innovation models, which require new and more open forms of organization, including crowdsourcing; Open innovation labs; and collaboration with a variety of partners. Where untapped internal ideas are allowed to move outside the organization and to exploit external sources of open innovation.
