Résumé: تعتبر إميلي ديكنسون من أكثر الشعراء تأثيراً خلال الفترة الرومانسية الأمريكية ( .)1860-1820كان لأسلوب كتابتها تأثير كبير على الأدب الأمريكي حتى يومنا هذا. جزء من سبب اكتساب ديكنسون لشعبية هائلة في الأدب الأمريكي هو أسلوبها الكئيب والحزين الذي غالبًا ما يستدعي موضوعات الموت والآخرة. أولً، ، سيحاول المؤلف إبراز لغة ديكنسون الشعرية من منظور أسلوبي. ثانيا، سيقدم هذا المقال دراسة نقدية أسلوبية تطبيقية لأسلوب كتابة ديكنسون بشكل عام، و لقصيدتها الشهيرة "سمعت طنين ذبابة عندما م ّت" بشكل خاص Emily Dickinson is considered to be one of the most influential poets during the American Romantic period (1820-1860). Her writing style exerts a massive impact on American literature up until nowadays. Part of the reason why Dickinson has gained an immense popularity in American literature, is her gloomy and melancholic style; often invoking themes of death and the afterlife. First of all, the author will attempt to highlight Dickinson’s poetic language from a stylistic perspective. Second, the present article will offer an applied stylistic critical study of Dickinson’s writing style in general, and of her famous poem “I Heard a Fly Buzz when I Died” in particular.
