Résumé: Abstract: The study aims to analyse the status and level of water security in the Arab world. with Algeria selected as a case study. The research concluded that there are significant water resources in Algeria; however, they are insufficient compared to the increasing population density In order to achieve water security, a set of methods and suggestions have been presented that could contribute to the development of a strategy for the proper management of water. resources in Algeria, ensuring its self-sufficiency in water supply This is after analysing the status of the water resources sector and understanding its capabilities and shortcomings ملخص: تهدف الدراسة الى تحليل وضعية ومستوى الامن المائي في الوطن العربي مع اختيار الجزائر نموذجا؛ وقد خلصت الدراسة الى ان هناك موارد مائية معتبرة فيها لكنها ليست كافية مقارنة مع ازدياد الكثافة السكانية. ومن اجل تحقيق الامن المائي تم تقديم مجموعة من الطرق والاقتراحات التي يمكن ان تساهم في تطوير الاستراتيجية الموجهة للتسيير الحسن للموارد المائية بالجزائر؛ وتحقيق اكتفاءها الذاتي من التزود بالمياه وهذا بعد تحليل معطيات قطاع الموارد المائية ومعرفة امكانياته ونقائصه.
