Contribution À L'étude De La Diversité Agricole Dans Les Palmeraies De La Wilaya De Timimoun Cas
Résumé: This work is a contribution to the evaluation of agrodiversity (cultivated plants and cultivars of dates) in the palm groves of the wilaya of Timimoun. To this end, a survey of 60 farmers was carried out in the field at the Charouine palm grove. The results revealed the existence of 38 cultivated species and 29 cultivars of dates. From the standpoint of plantation type, the results showed that the greatest diversities were recorded in traditional farms. As for the low diversity, it was recorded at the level of enhancements. The socio-economic transformation, the introduction of new varieties constitutes a serious threat of erosion and loss of this phytogenetic heritage. Finally, this study showed that the palm grove of Charouine is characterized by a significant richness in biodiversity. Their characterization, preservation and enhancement are urgent.
