Résumé: Summary Drilling is a very important operation for oil/gas production, that operation requires to use a many equipment and tools, among them is drilling mud, which causes dangerous waste at several levels. In this thesis, we studied drilling mud, its properties and types, and the treatment of its waste. Treatment by Stabilization/solidification technique show that be effective in reducing the Contaminants concentrations to the allowable values, but it is not considered as a complete or definitive method of treatment, because of the defects it contains
