Etude Comparative De La Résistance Au Choc Thermique Cumulé Du Verre Borosilicate Et Verre Silico-sodo-calcique
Résumé: Borosilicate glass is a glass with high thermal shock resistance due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion and good chemical durability. The comparative thermomechanical study of soda-silicate glass compared to borosilicate glass allowed us to understand the anomalous behavior of the latter from a structural and mechanical point of view. Our experimental study revealed that the critical hot temperature of soda-silicate glass is around 120 ° C on the other hand for borosilicate glass it is higher and reaches 320 ° C. The critical hot temperature found by modeling for soda-silicate glass is around 300 ° C, while for borosilicate glass it is between the temperatures of 600 ° C and 700 ° C, this confirms that the glass Borosilicate is not only heat resistant glass but also resistant or cumulative thermal shock.
