Propriétés Optiques Et Conditions Optimisées Pour Les Films Pdlc Contenant Des Polymères Réticulés Aux Rayonnements Uv Avec Un Cristal Liquide.
Résumé: The content of this work is the development and characterization of PDLC films composed of IBOA /E7 and IBOA 2-EHA /E7 of concentrations (40/60) and (30/70)%. PDLCs are composite materials that consist of micron-sized liquid crystal droplets embedded in a solid polymer matrix. Their unique optical and electro-optical properties make them suitable for applications in various technological fields. These systems are developed by UV light curing of two different mixtures, the first one is made of the monomer Isobornyl acrylate (IBOA), the liquid crystal E7 in the presence of the photoinitiator Darocur 1173 and the cross-linking agent (HDDA). The second mixture contains the same components as the first except for the monomer 2-Ethylhexyl acrylate (2- EHA). A characterization of the samples and a follow-up of the polymerization was done by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), then a study by polarized light microscope (MOP) was carried out to see the morphology of the films and we finished by the electro-optical characterization of the polymerized mixtures to understand the behavior under the effect of an electric field of the studied systems.
