A Critical Discourse Analysis Of Isis’ Radicalizing Recruitment Strategies The Case Of Dabiq Magazine
Résumé: The extremist recruitment strategies adopted by ISIL have created a revolution in regarding the notion of terrorism, these strategies have won enormous success and support world, they have managed to spread their message through various and modern media means of communication. ISIL's discourse appealed to its readers and convinced to share it in order to finally become active elements in the mobilization fundamentalist. In order to reveal the discursive strategies that build currents extremists that the magazine "Dabiq" contained and that the communication officer at the level of EIIL published, we chose the two approaches of van Dijk also named The socio-cognitivist approach and the socio-discursive approach of Fairclough, because the mechanisms of the critical analysis of the analytic discourse are the most corresponding to this kind of speech. And to answer the following questions: A-Which textual tools married by Dabiq magazine to implant the fundamentalist spirit in the reader? B-How strategies of the fundamentalist operation during recruitment are they intended to be obvious in the texts published by Dabiq magazine? Through this analysis, the study led to the result that Dabiq magazine has used discursive textual tools in: intertextuality, narrations, lyric verbs, reference, necessities, and socio-cognitive control through positive representation of ISIL towards itself and negative representation of the other in view of fundamentalist recruitment.
