Malcolm X And The Identity Of The Black Power
Résumé: The struggle of African-Americans to gain and ensure a full citizenship has been long and arduous. Motivated by the same spirit that guided previous self-determination movements in African-American history, Malcolm X was central to this resistance as he demanded a radicalized group consciousness in black America and sought a powerful cultural revolution in black communities. In three chapters, this study will try analyse the role and influence of Malcolm X as a Muslim black leader on the black power moment and the effects of his philosophy and nonviolence ideology on the blacks’ struggle for equality and civil rights in America.
