Résumé: This study aims to measure the impact of both government spending and money supply on the GDP outside the hydrocarbon sector in Algeria during the period 1996-2020. To achieve the study's objective, the utoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) methodology was used. The study found a positive effect of money supply, government spending, and nonoil GDP in both the short and long term. It also revealed a positive relationship between the government spending variable (LDP) and the GDP outside the hydrocarbon sector in the long term. These findings carry significant implications for policymakers in Algeria. They indicate the need to continue adopting supportive fiscal and monetary policies for growth, with a particular focus on directing government spending towards productive sectors outside the hydrocarbon sector. The results also emphasize the importance of coordinating between monetary and fiscal policies to maximize their positive impact on the economy. In conclusion, this study provides empirical evidence on the effectiveness of economic policy tools in stimulating growth in non-oil sectors in Algeria. It thus contributes to guiding the policy-making process towards achieving the goal of economic diversification and building a more sustainable economy capable of facing fluctuations in global oil prices.
