Résumé: تهدف دراستنا هذه إلى محاولة فهم تلك المسألة المتعلقة بالصراع الذي وقع بين الدين والعلمانية داخل المجتمعات الغربية وما نتج عنه من تشوه في الحوار والتواصل بينهما، فالأول الذي يعاني الإقصاء والإهمال منذ الثورة عليه في عصور النهضة وفق منطلقات الثورة الفرنسية والثاني الذي يمثل لنا العلمانية وهو يمثل في الوقت الحالي الأصولي الذي يمثلك الحقيقة ويمثل التحضر والتحديث وقد كان هذا الأخير قد حقق هيمنة على جميع الأصعدة وفق منطلقات الحداثة التي أعطت الأولوية للعقل ،إلا أن الثقة العمياء في الأخير كانت نتائجها وخيمة على المجتمعات الغربية التي أصبحت مادية وغاب فيه الجانب الديني ،خاصة داخل الفضاء العام الذي تتشكل فيه الحوارات التي تهدف لمصلحة المجتمع وأمام هذا الإهمال الذي بلغ حدودا قصوى للجانب الديني تعالت أصوات تنادي بضرورة عودة الدين إلى المجتمعات الغربية خاصة داخل المجال العام وهو ما فتح نوعا من التشويش على الجانب العلماني ووقعت أزمة حوار وتواصل بين العلمانيين والمتدينين وهنا نستحضر إسهامات الفيلسوف الألماني يورغن هابر ماس لمحاولة تطبيع علاقة تلاحم بين المتدينين والعلمانيين وفتح سبل التحاور والتسامح وهذا من خلال مقترحه المجتمع الما بعد علماني .
