Aptitude À L’irrigation Des Eaux Souterraines De L’oasis De Guerrara

Résumé: Guerrara is a desert area south of Algeria. This area is characterized by poverty of vegetation cover, high temperatures with an annual average of 23.5 ° C. Low rainfall about 6,09* mm year. The water supply of the population depends mainly on groundwater resources. The study area is agricultural. Development of agriculture these last year has been that Terminal Complex. The water of this aquifer is a serious chemical quality problem. Our work's main objective is the study of the chemical water quality of the Terminal Complex and assess the suitability for irrigation of cultivated land . To assess the quality of this layer,15 groundwater samples of the study area are highly to extremely high salt and the electrical conductivities are between 0,863 and 5,383 mS/cm and the pH varies between 6,2 and 7,75. According to the comparison of concentrations of chemical elements (Na +, Cl-, Ca2+, SO42-, HCO3-, Mg 2+, K +), Na + is the dominant element for cations and Cl- for anions, which gives therefore the dominant geochemical facies chlorinated sodium. Waters Terminal Complex of the aquifer are generally from four main classes C3S1, and C4S1, C4S2 .and The sodicity index (SAR) make it possible to distinguish two classes; very good and good. and the chloride index make it possible to distinguish four classes; good average mediocre and bad.
