Résumé: يدور موضوع هذه المداخلة حول نشأة الحواضر وزوالها بالمغرب الأوسط من خلال كتابات ابن خلدون، فهو يعتبر أن نشأة المدن ترتبط بتكوين التجمعات البشرية وظهور الحضارة ،وقد شدد على أهمية التعاون والتفاعل بين الإفراد في بناء المدن وتطورها . أما زوال المدن فقدم ابن خلدون فكرة الاضمحلال الاجتماعي والاقتصادي كأسباب لزوالها .وأشار أيضا إلى أن فقدان الروح الاجتماعية يمكن أن يؤدي إلى ضعف المدن وانهيارها .كما ركز على أهمية الحكم السياسي القوي والترابط الاجتماعي للحفاظ على استمرارية المدن وتطورها . وسنقف من خلال كتابات ابن خلدون على دور المدن في تقدم الحضارة وتطورها. فضلا عن التحذير من العوامل التي قد تؤدي إلى زوالها . This intervention focuses on the rise and fall of cities in the Middle Maghreb through Ibn Khaldoun's writings. According to him, the development of human groups and the rise of a civilization are related to the establishment of cities. He stressed the importance of cooperation and interaction between individuals in the construction and development of cities. The idea of socioeconomic degradation has been attributed to the decline of cities. He added that cities may become vulnerable and collapse due to a loss of social cohesion. In order to maintain and grow cities, he also underlined the significance of solid political governance and social cohesiveness. We shall stand by Ibn Khaldoun's writings on the role of cities in the advancement and development of civilization, as well as warning of the factors that may lead to their demise.
