Résumé: From the end of the 1970s until the beginning of the 1990s, the Arab world was exposed to crises and thorny issues as a result of the changes that took place in international relations. Among these crises are the Palestinian issue, the Lebanese crisis, the first and second Gulf crises, and the Sahara issue. These made of the Arab World a scene of divisions, conflicts, and competitions. They also made it vulnerable to foreign interference from the major powers. From its revolutionary experience and by virtue of its Arab and Islamic affiliation, Algeria has always sought to address those Arab issues. It has played different roles in settling disputes and bring the views of the Arab countries closer. This is what we will try to highlight through this study entitled “Algeria and its role in the Arab issues 1979-1992.”
