The Correlation Between Social Media Addiction And Psychological Security Among University Students

Résumé: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between social media addiction and psychological security in university students. Using the Social Media Addiction Scale developed by "Basma Houssein Younes "(2016) and the Psychological Security Scale adapted for the Algerian context by "Halima Akssa" (2015), researchers surveyed 153 university students (male and female) from various levels and programs. They found a significant correlation between these two factors. However, there were no differences in social media addiction based on gender, and socioeconomic status did not affect psychological security. Interestingly, gender did influence psychological security levels among students. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التحقيق في العلاقة بين إدمان وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي والأمن النفسي لدى طلاب الجامعات. باستخدام مقياس الإدمان على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي الذي طورته "بسمة حسين يونس"(2016) ومقياس الأمن النفسي الذي تم تكييفه للسياق الجزائري من قبل "حليمة أكسا " (2015)، استطلع الباحثون 153 طالبًا جامعيًا (ذكورًا وإناثًا) من مختلف المستويات والبرامج. وتوصلنا الى ان هناك علاقة كبيرة بين هذين العاملين. ومع ذلك، لم تكن هناك اختلافات في إدمان وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي على أساس الجنس، ولم تؤثر الحالة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية على الأمن النفسي. ومن المثير للاهتمام أن الجنس يؤثر بالفعل على مستويات الأمن النفسي بين الطلاب.
